BIRTH PLATES

Birth plates are a special way to commemorate the birth of a child with a family heirloom. The designs of whimsical folk art are made in redware clay. The plates have the child's name and birth date etched into the border using sgraffito technique. The inscription on the back can include parents names, hospital, city, time, weight, and length.
